Health, Fitness and Athletics 
Physical fitness is a building block for success and participation in extra-curricular sports encourages dedication to goal achievement, leadership and teamwork. The Foundation will support enhanced physical education facilities, provide equipment and help ensure programs are widely accessible to all students.

The West Bend Public School District Foundation believes that FITNESS AND ATHLETICS are critical to students’ physical and emotional development. We are committed to supporting programs that place a greater emphasis on the health and wellness of the total person, rather than the acquisition of skills in specific competitive sports.

We recognize that an effective approach to fitness in our schools is needed to allow students to meet standards for physical education, and equip our youth to be healthy and physically active for a lifetime. Students who participate in fitness and athletics programs are likely to experience fewer concerns from lack of activity and better eating habits, and develop the skills and habits needed to sustain healthy lifestyles over time.

The West Bend Public Schools physical education curriculum is being converted from a traditional sports-based curriculum to an integrated health and fitness program. In addition to advanced fitness technologies, new design will integrate technology based student assessments strategies to make evaluations more meaningful and increase their use as a learning tool. Therefore, we are committed to supporting and sustaining West Bend schools FITNESS AND ATHLETICS in their ability to provide depth of programs both in and out of the classroom.
